1. Navigate to 'Settings' on your iPad

2. In the left hand column, navigate to 'General'

3. Once in General settings, navigate to 'Software Update'

4. If Automatic Updates are not toggled to 'On', change from 'Off' to 'On' (this will allow your iPad to install updates when needed. Automatic updates will happen overnight while the device is charging and connected to Wi-Fi)

5. To begin download, select 'Update Now' - you will need to enter your passcode to begin this process

6. Once your iPad has finished downloading the update, the iPad will shut off and show the Apple logo with a loading bar underneath

7. Allow your iPad to finish the installation process, and it will restart once complete.
